Health Office Talks about Corona Virus Infecting Persib Foreign Bomber
Persib Bandung announced that one of its foreign players, Wander Luiz, was infected with the corona virus or COVID-19. The Brazilian player was tested positive after undergoing a PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test a few days ago.
Interestingly, Wander Luiz did not show any symptoms before being infected with COVID-19. However, to prevent further spread, Luiz is currently undergoing independent isolation with the monitoring of the team doctor.
Head of the Health Office (Kadinkes) of the City of Bandung, Rita Verita, explained that COVID-19 can attack anyone, including athletes who daily maintain a healthy condition to stay healthy.
"That's right. Because of this, this virus can attack anyone. The one who can ward off this virus is a person with good endurance, that's how it is," Rita told reporters on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
Therefore, he hopes that all people can maintain their body's power so that the virus does not enter the body. For the matter of Luiz, Rita suspected that when COVID-19 entered the condition of the 28-year-old player was in decline.
"For someone who has not good immune system certainly can not withstand this virus even though he is an athlete, even though he eats well," he explained.
"But, if her immune system (Luiz) might be when the virus enters her body, her immune system is not good, so that finally the virus cannot be resisted because of the immune system, the most important thing here is that the immune system, "he explained.
To prevent the virus, said Rita, it is very easy but often ignored by the public. Among other things, always wash your hands or use a mask when traveling outside the home.
"Then that was before, after washing your hands and other things, that's not important behavior, even though it's very important because the virus can die if we wash our hands properly," he said.
