Leicester's two figures could destroy Liverpool's winning mission on Boxing Day

After successfully winning the Club World Cup 2019, Liverpool will again compete in the Premier League. Red Merseyside fleet will be faced with a dark horse team which is now sitting second in the standings, Leicester City.

Liverpool are still speeding this season. Juergen Klopp's troops are so powerful with a record of unbeaten in 17 matches. Not only that, currently Roberto Firmino cs firmly stands at the top of the standings, with a collection of 49 points.

The note is quite far adrift, 10 points, from Leicester. Meanwhile, the achievement of 19 holders of the First Division title (format before the Premier League) is also 11 points ahead of other competitors who are defending champions, Manchester City, in third position.

Not an easy matter for Liverpool to overthrow The Foxes. In addition to appearing in front of the public itself, Leicester also carries a mission to rise after the defeat of City in the previous match.

No doubt, Klopp insisted he would try to stop the impressive actions of Jamie Vardy. The 32-year-old striker is currently topping the Premier League's top scorer list with a record of 17 goals in 18 appearances. Although, on the other hand Klopp also realized that it was not only Vardy who was a threat.

"We will try (stop Vardy from scoring). The problem we have is not only Vardy. Of course he is a big threat. What can you say about him? Since I was in England, he was one of the three (attackers) boards above, "Klopp was quoted as saying by Liverpool Echo.

"He always scores goals, he is difficult to defend. He is always on the side of your shoulder, and runs on the offside line. He is very, very dangerous. The only thing you can do in football is try and cut a lot of bait on him. we will try, "he said.

As said earlier, this former Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund tactician was not only wary of Vardy. Apparently, Klopp was also so focused on what strategies would be used by Brendan Rodgers.

As you know, Rodgers was Klopp's predecessor before coming to Liverpool in the 2014/2015 season. Klopp witnessed himself, how Rodgers was able to boost Leicester's performance and appear violent this season.

"Leicester is not only Jamie Vardy. Brendan (Rodgers) has done a very good job there," Klopp said.

Liverpool will travel to the King Power Stadium in the matchday 19 of the Premier League 2019/2020 titled Boxing Day, Friday 27 December 2019 early morning hrs.
