VIVA - Barito Putera followed the decision of the All Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) regarding payment of player rights during the 1 st League competition. This was said by Deputy Manager Barito Putera, M Iksan Kamil.
PSSI decided to stop the League 1 competition until May 29. That is because the COVID19 corona virus epidemic occurred in Indonesia.
PSSI also decided the club still had to pay player salaries during the termination of the competition. The club must pay the player's salary by 25 percent.
"Our club's attitude will certainly be obedient and carry out PSSI's instructions. We will also communicate to players, coaches and officials. So far it has not been there, but we will do it immediately," Ikhsan was quoted as saying on the official Barito Putera website.
According to Ikhsan, Barito will also revise contracts for all players. Whereas the contract period has not been determined because it is still waiting for the development of the situation and the direction of PSSI.
"The contract revision in accordance with the letter from the federation is more to the problem of paying salaries by 25 percent. While for the contract period and others are still waiting for the development of the next situation and PSSI directives. Nobody wants this incident to happen, we all must be able to find the best way for clubs and players, coaches and officials, "he added.
Meanwhile, Barito senior player Aditya Harlan said he was surprised by this decision. But Aditya believes the club will find the best way for everything on the team.
"Surely surprised because PSSI does not involve other parties, in this case the players because after all football players are players. We don't all have big salaries. Hopefully there is a win-win solution for this problem," said Aditya.
