American women's soccer star Alex Morgan was asked to choose between Argentine star Lionel Messi or Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo. Who is the best of both according to Morgan?
As reported by Sportbible, Tuesday March 31, 2020, Morgan rejected Ronaldo as the best player in the world today. He claims that Messi is at a "higher level than any other player I have watched at the moment."
"I have to say Messi. He is much better. He has a higher level than any other player I have ever watched," said the 30-year-old US national team captain.
"He (Messi) is also a very interesting player to watch," Morgan continued.
Morgan, who is pregnant and hopes to have her first child in April, has an important role in helping the women's US national team defend the 2019 Women's World Cup title.
This became a neat nick of Uncle Sam's country squad as ruler of the universal women's soccer stage with a collection of four world titles. The success is also no doubt increasingly catapulted the name of Alex Morgan.
