Corona Virus That Can Make Premier League Stars So Unemployed
The Premier League is completely paralyzed due to the COVID-19 corona virus outbreak. The competition stopped, at least until April 30, 2020, after an emergency meeting was held and found the agreement.
There is a complicated problem that could arise behind this decision. Player contracts will likely be disrupted if the competition does not end until June 30, 2020.
Many players are out of contract at the end of June 2020. That makes them worried, it is difficult to get a new club and become unemployed next season.
Bournemouth captain Simon Francis is one of the players whose contracts expire in June 2020. Francis claimed to be so worried about the conditions in the Premier League now.
The status of the competition is uncertain, making him have to think hard about which club wants to accommodate him next season.
"There is a possibility that this season will be extended to beyond 30 June 2020, where my contract has expired. The situation is a dilemma for me and other players. I really can't think," Francis told The Sun.
"In a normal situation, there are negotiations until the battle in the relegation zone meets results. But, the priority now is to save the future, rather than talking about contracts," he continued.
Francis hopes the club can hold negotiations in order to discuss his fate this season.
In fact, it wasn't just Francis, who was having problems with his contract. Chelsea's Winger, Willian, also faces a similar problem.
The difference is, if Willian certainly many clubs are willing to accommodate it. However, he was still upset because of course it would be difficult to find new career opportunities in this difficult situation.
"Actually, my contract was only completed in July 2020, maybe. If only I had to play past the contract period, no problem. I have to help the club to end this season. They have helped me a lot," Willian said by Sky Sports.
